1. Read the following story. Then highlight or underline the words which use a magic e. Dave rode his bike down the slope. He was going far too fast so he put on his front brake. This was a bad mistake as the front wheel locked and he was thrown over the handlebars. He landed face-first among some stones. He was quite dazed and for a moment he didn't know where he was. A neighbour phoned for an ambulance and it soon arrived. At the hospital they decided that he had a broken nose and they gave him an ice pack to reduce the swelling.
